One of the most flexible musicians we've encountered on any instrument, Collins was a dynamic addition to the orchestra when we first sought a full-time vibraphonist in 2006. A man who instinctively plays in any style, he has that rare ability to convince you that whatever he just played was of course the only thing that could have possibly sufficed. His disarming virtuosity can be heard in full-effect on the burning front section of Maybe I Am, as well as on This Is Not the Answer, iv. the hypocrite and the hope.
